The Kuda: Duka Kuda EP Launching

The Kuda is the anomaly of Indonesian Punk. Their music is a strange combination of rock ‘n roll, 70’s tunes, garage rock with absurd lyric. Combine that with raw (often humorous) fast performances, then, you’ll get a proper portrayal of this Bogor based group. This group has already spread their proto tunes on several releases. Released by Yesnowave in May 2011, their first album “Misteri Torpedo” set the foundation for The Kuda, gaining attention from local music lovers. Followed by Split Album with Gangrena Surf (Chile) and the Night Stalkers (French), contributed to PunkAID (2012) Aceh Calling compilation. They also collaborate with Ruang Rupa’s artist on an art project in Australia. They also share a song on the “Rocket Rain” movie soundtrack. And on the last day of May, The Kuda comes back with their EP. Titled “Duka Kuda”, this EP contains 5 songs with one cover song from The Stooges. This EP will be released on limited c-30 cassette package. This package will also include a booklet from their collaboration with Ruang Rupa’s artists. The Kuda will be performing at this launching event with DJ Nick Hefber, Seaside and Bequiet as their opening. Do come to this party and have the vintage proto sensation yourself! “Duka Kuda” Tracklist: • Lihatlah Lurus Ke Depan, • Ilalang Hilang, • Hantu Laut, • Kapan Kapan Kapan, • No Fun (The Stooges), • Tumbila.
