A year after their formation, Empat Lima made their way to our archipelago for their first Indonesian tour. The Melbourne, Australia band not only brought their Dara Inspired performances to Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Jatiwangi, Malang, and Bali, but they also created various workshops with the help of local art centers. Whiteboard Journal had the pleasure of talking to the group before they hit the Jaya Pub stage - the first performance of the tour.
As I was making this mix, the term "Red Eye" suddenly came to mind (for no apparent reason, really). Three things come to mind when I think of red eye: one, an early morning flight (red eye flight), two, a Candiria song (Red Eye Flight), and three, the double espresso and black coffee combination we used to serve at the bakery I worked at (called a red eye). This time the mix is filled with music that I believe are quite soothing, a little bit energetic, but never spastic - something that can hold you attention but will make for great background music as well.
