Joshua Openheimer’s psychological documentary which has Indonesian death squad leaders re-enact their murders is now available free for Indonesians. In a statement published on their site, the filmmaker would like Indonesians to download it, discuss it, and spread the word about to raise awareness of the 1965 genocide. Supported by Drafthouse Films, Vice, and VHX, The Act of Killing can be downloaded via their website in regular and HD quality.
