Many of us know Sacha Stevenson from her "How to Act Indonesian" series. The expatriate's satirical Youtube videos served as a mirror for Indonesians to look and laugh at themselves, and quickly went viral through various social medias. Currently broadening the themes of her sketch comedy series, Whiteboard Journal had a chance to talk to Sacha Stevenson before a shoot in Kemang, South Jakarta.
Though Jakarta is not known as a green capital, the city still has some green spaces to visit. With the increasing level of urbanization every year, the significance of green spaces also is becoming more apparent. Zinnia Nizar-Sompie has been in the graphic design industry for over 15 years. Her past works include Neo Magazine, Djakarta!, and PS: Magazine.She also has taught at IDS (International Design School), established Konsep M which is a graphic design company and recently elected to be the National Chairman of ADGI (Asosiasi Desain Grafis Indonesia). On our recent visit to her newly minted, sun-filled office building, Zinnia talked to us about many aspects of graphic design in Indonesia since the reformation era.
