Dari proyek musik eksperimental yang menggabungkan unsur gamelan, noise dan metal, kanal Youtube yang memperlihatkan cara speedrunning suatu game sekaligus mengumpulkan uang untuk charity, hingga episode serial tv “Chef’s Table” yang menceritakan perjalanan karir seorang pastry chef dari New York yang membuka restoran di Ubud, berikut adalah “Things We Like” dari minggu kedua Juli.

Awesome Games Done Quick (Youtube Channel)

Description:
There are those of us who casually play video games for entertainment, and then there are hardcore gamers who delve deeper into the title – whether the story, features, or even mechanics. Enter Games Done Quick, a regular charity video game event that focuses on speedrunning.

An exhibition of the hours of investment gamers put into learning the mechanics, strategies, glitches, etc with the goal of completing a game as quickly as possible – watching the speedrunning stars go through a game with such finesse elicits oohs and ahs, and the fact that they can raise millions of dollars of donations  from viewers for Prevent Cancer Foundation and Doctor Without Borders is admirable.

Dari dulu selalu percaya bahwa salah satu hal terbaik di Touche Amore duduk di kursi drumnya. Album ini membuktikan lebih dari itu. Bahwa Elliot Babin ternyata juga bisa berdiri di depan, bernyanyi tentang kegelisahan umur akhir 20-an dengan baik dan benar. Membuktikan bahwa pop-punk tidak pernah berhenti relevan, kita saja yang terlalu tua untuk mengikuti gerak-geriknya.

Love is imperfect, parents are imperfect, it gave me perspective and reminded me to be softer with those I love. Couple those themes with the sounds of Ry Cooder and what you get is an absolute gem of a movie.
