Europe on Screen is a film festival that showcases films from european countries. Despite of the big number of film productions in Europe there is very little access to european films in Indonesia.

To celebrate Europe Day (May 9th), this year’s festival will be held from 2 to 11 may 2014, in Jakarta and several other cities in Indonesia. The festival will screen some 70 recent films from over 20 countries. Europe on Screen 2014 also includes a number of fringe events, such as film discussions, workshops and open air screenings. Short fiction films and documentaries from young Indonesian filmmakers will be presented in a Short Film Competition.
