A New Chapter for Design with Rege Indrastudianto

Rege Indrastudianto is the recently elected head of ADGI Jakarta chapter. He also the co-founder of Visious Studio as well as the art and graphic design webzine: grafismasakini.com. Whiteboard Journal had a chance to talk to Rege about the importance of community and networking between the designers, his program for ADGI Chapter Jakarta, and a band called, "The Sastro".

As a part of “Festival Salihara” during mid-September to mid-October 2014, Salihara Community invited Speak Percussion as one of their guest performers. We came to see this Melbourne based art collective performing a series of experimental music composition on a set of uncommon instruments, and how their performance brings out a thought about musical exploration.

Supporting BISINDO with Dr. Juniati Effendi

During the International Week of the Deaf (Sep 22 - 28, 2014), the campaign to support #dukungBISINDO, a sign language natural to the Indonesian deaf, was launched to help make it the official sign language of Indonesia. Dr. Juniati Effendy, a professor teaching sign language at Universitas Indonesia's Department of Cultural Studies, is an advocate for the Indonesian movement who seek better public welfare for the deaf.
