A Conclave for Creativity

The word “conclave” itself means a gathering or get-together. As a co-working space, Conclave encourages the creative minds to exchange ideas and create better results. History Illustrated with Peter Van Dongen

Dutch graphic novelist Peter Van Dongen is perhaps best known in Indonesia for Rampokan Jawa, a novel set during Indonesia's struggle for independence which has gathered a cult following in the archipelago. Having started his endeavors via amateur and alternative press. His featured works includes Muizentheater, Rampokan: Jawa & Selebes by Gramedia publishers and "Three Days in Rio" a commission for fashion brand GANT International.

Composing Music with Aghi Narottama

Music plays a crucial part in films, and Aghi Narottama knows well how to make great music for great films. He is the man behind the music of Berbagi Suami, Quickie Express, Negeri 5 Menara, and many more. With his knowledge in audio production, he has now become one of the best composers in Indonesia. He is also involved in Indonesia Music Institute (Institut Musik Indonesia).

Art Fundamentals with Farah Wardani

Having received her Bachelors degree in Design at Trisakti University and Masters degree in Art History at Goldsmith College in London, Farah Wardani returned to Indonesia to explore the Indonesian art scene as well as document it through Indonesian Visual Art Archive (IVAA), an archive of modern and contemporary Indonesian art. Both she and IVAA are based in Yogyakarta, and Whiteboard Journal had the chance to talk to her during her visit to Jakarta.

The Wisdom of Indonesian Cuisine with William Wongso

William Wongso is name that is well known in Indonesia's culinary scene. His love for our local cuisine developed by a curiosity and eagerness to learn from local chefs from every corner of Indonesia, he now shares his knowledge by developing several programs, including ones in Almond Zuchinni, a school based in South Jakarta. We had a chance to visit William Wongso in his school where talked about Indonesian food and its presence in the international stage.
