Her playful and often solemn artwork has been featured multiple exhibitions, and her collaborations grace the covers and pages of music albums, posters, and books. She is also co-owner and designer at UGLY, a brand where she and her partners bring their artistic direction into product design. We had the chance to visit Marishka at her home studio to talk about her background, opinion and projects in the arts.

Located in the south of Surabaya, Medayu Agung is a private library established by Oei Hiem Hwie, an ex-journalist, ex-political prisoner, and enthusiast for history and knowledge. Within the building's walls are precious books, newspapers, and documents that were banned during the Soeharto era.
