Seiring tumbuh kembang individu, keberadaan rumah, tak hanya menjadi kebutuhan primer, tapi juga sebagai tempat untuk mencari kenyamanan setelah lama menempuh waktu di jalan atau berpikir keras di kantor. Rumah seringkali dikaitkan dengan keluarga inti yang menemani seseorang dalam mengekplorasi jati diri dan kemampuan yang ada. Aktivitas yang terjadi di dalam rumah cenderung bersifat spontan namun memiliki tata karma yang dibuat serta diturunkan dari keluarga besar.
Menggunakan gagasan rumah beserta memori yang tertangkap dan tercipta di dalamnya, Anton Ismael menyampaikan kekuatan rasa akrab dari rumah dalam pameran tunggal berisi macam bentuk karya menggunakan berbagai medium. Anton bersama dengan Ade Darmawan sebagai kurator, menonjolkan kekuatan rumah dalam mempengaruhi imaji seseorang.
Sisi lembut tiap orang yang berkunjung ke pameran ini akan tersentuh oleh relevansi cerita di balik tiap karya yang tersaji. Sebuah ruang dan kuas, cat, serta kertas disediakan Anton untuk menggambarkan ‘bentuk’ rumah yang hadir di angan pengunjung. Tentunya sebagai seniman maupun fasilitator, Anton dan Ade tak luput menyampaikan cerita dengan alur emosional yang mengingatkan kita dengan rumah.

Awal April 2016, Film Musik Makan kembali dengan rangkaian acaranya yang ketiga. Acara yang dimulai pada tahun 2014 selalu menampilkan karya film menarik dari berbagai sutradara seperti Anggun Priambodo, Lucky Kuswandi, dan Yosep Anggi Noen. Kali ini, acara Film Musik Makan akan berlangsung selama 2 hari di Goethe Institut dan akan menampilkan 4 film panjang dan 10 film pendek. Dengan nama Film Musik Makan, tentunya acara ini tidak hanya menampilkan film. Akan ada musik dari Irama Nusantara dan MMS yang selalu memainkan lagu-lagu yang menarik. Organized yearly by students of Universitas Indonesia's school of business and economics, this year's Music Gallery will be its 6th, and will feature exciting upcoming acts such as Kelompok Penerbang Roket, seasoned Indonesian musicians such as Float, as well as two international acts, this year being Panama and Last Dinosaurs. Delivering the band's pop sensibilities with youthful vigor and endearing eccentricity,
their new album, "Wellness" will spoil you with the band's most distinguished and proud body of work. Having scored heavy rotation on Triple J and a Top 10 spot on the ARIA charts with their 2012 breakthrough album In A Million Years, the band then toured extensively throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia for three years. They accumulated a wealth of knowledge and memories locked away in their mental vaults, before stepping back into the studio to record their sophomore effort Wellness.

Marrying the timeless power of a good song with an eye to the future, Panama are winning hearts with their trademark “electronic power ballads”. Signing to Future Classic, the release of the Always EP saw Panama top the Hype Machine charts with the title track with more than 3 million Soundcloud plays. To support their debut Northern Hemisphere tour, the band released ‘Stay Forever’ a powerfully emotive summer pop release which evokes feelings of balmy, care-free night drives, flanked by an emotional piano-heavy intro and trademark Panama crescendos.
Tigapagi
Started from the album entitled Roekmana’s Repertoire and reliving an ambience during 1965 symbolises their style of monochromatic music. Roekmana needed an idea to brighten and colour their music. From here, the existence of three men were acknowledged, their names are Sigit Agung Pramudita, Eko Sakti Oktavianto, and Primadian Febrianto. The collaboration of these men, not to mention that two of them; Prima and Eko were siblings, reincarnated Roekmana’s Repertoire through their band
Kelompok Penerbang Roket
Kelompok Penerbang Roket was able to chart in their music through rock music with local influences from the 70’s era such as Duo Kribo, AKA and Panbers. This revolutionary band comprises of three spectacular dudes with a brilliant and common approach on rock music and they go by the name of John Paul Patton (Coki), Rey Marshall, and Viki Vikranta. With their first album being launched entitled Teriakan Bocah, Kelompok Penerbang Roket was able to captivate a lot of rock enthusiasts and other audiences as they are unique with their own music.
Elephant Kind
Elephant Kind started in the midst of 2013 by Bam Mastro, when he was still gaining his bachelor degree in Australia. Bam roughly started out his music career by writing songs, and produced it as well for his sister, known as, Neonomora. This move makes a jump start in his career, when 3 of his future bandmates met him and join the band. Bam Mastro, Dewa Pratama, Bayu Adisapoetra and John Paul Patton are the ones responsible for the success of this band.
Float
Float was established in the late 2004’s and now comprised of three young men, Hotma "Meng" Roni Simamora, David Q Lintang, Timur, Arman Benyamin, and Raymond Agus Saputra, Float became very distinct through their lyrics expressed in beautiful metaphors and rhythms to put you into sways. With their famous single “Tiga Hari Untuk Selamanya”featured in a movie with the given title, Float rocketed as Best Soundtrack in Jakarta Film Festival.
Mocca
Established in 1997 and originated from Bandung, Mocca has been reliving delicious tastes of the 70’s with fusions of Retro, Swing, Bossanova, Swedish Pop and Jazz. Comprised of Arina Ephipania Simangunsong, Riko Prayitno, Achmad ("Toma") Pratama, and Indra Massad as the core of the band. With the release of their album “My Diary” they have placed as “150 Greatest Indonesian Albums of All Time” by Rolling Stones Indonesia.
Silampukau
Originated from Surabaya under a unique name, Silampukau, this revolutionary band was formed expressively as it depicts the conflicts and voices of the community of their origin.With their recently released album, Dosa, Kota dan Kenangan, Silampukau has shaped a vivid ad lyrical perception of the tragedy in Tambak Bayan. Dried Cassava
Four minds integrated as one producing alternative sounds behind the tasty Dried Cassava. Established in 2005, the band has released two albums offering salty pleasure amidst the complexity of human life. With their first album entitled “Mind Thieves”, Dried Cassava reached a peak season through their hit single “Paradox”. Until now, they are enliven their legacy through their latest album “Sensitive Explosive”.

Sentimental Moods! The Addams
Starting from the name of Lonely Band to The Adams, this indie power pop band was formed in 2001 and comprised of Ario Hendarwan, Saleh Bin Husein, Arfan, Kaka , Gigih. The Adams have recorded various tracks which became soundtracks of nostalgic movies such as Janji Joni and Quickee Express which marks the popularity of their vintage tunes to the youth. They have titled as Best Indie Music Video by Anugerah Video Music.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to travel at the speed of light? Traveling at the universe's speed limit is one that we have only been able to theorise and imagine, but wouldn't it be awesome to experience how such speeds will affect our perception of time and space? Well, though we haven't figured out how to actually travel at the speed of light, the folks at the MIT Game Lab has created a game that lets you get an idea of what it would be like. A Slower Speed of Light is a virtual 3 dimensional computer game that simulates what it would be like to travel at 299,792,458 m/s.
The game consists of players collecting orbs scattered throughout a 3D village, and every time an orb is collected the player will have the ability to accelerate closer to the speed of light. Technically, every time an orb is collected the speed of light is lowered (hence one's ability to experience the speed of light), and is designed so us players can see what we can experience when moving at relativistic speeds.
Collecting orbs isn't the most exciting premise and seems easy, but as you collect more orbs the game progressively becomes more difficult as the 3D environment begins to seemingly expand and contract and the colors begin to change as we can now see light that are usually invisible to the human eye (such as ultraviolet and infrared). This is what you experience when traveling at the speed of light and you can experience in A Slower Speed of Light.
It is a very interesting game to play even if you aren't into Einstein's Theory of Special Relativity. Check it out if you have time to spare.

Meski terhitung sebagai kolektif video yang cukup muda, Sinema Pinggiran telah menciptakan video musik yang cukup banyak sebagai portfolio. Hampir setiap beberapa bulan sekali mereka melahirkan karya video musik baru dengan pilihan musik yang sangat beragam, mulai dari Siksa Kubur, Marjinal, Matajiwa hingga Barefood. Diluar aktivitas mereka dalam membuat video, mereka juga cukup rajin mengadakan offline screening sekaligus workshop video pada beberapa kampus.
Sebagai pembuka episode Klip Klub: Sinema Pinggiran ini, akan dihadirkan pula karya Anarcho Brothers, kolektif video yang memfokuskan pada karya-karya yang merespon subkultur metal lokal. Seusai pemutaran video akan diadakan obrolan bersama Sinema Pinggiran dan Anarcho Brothers tentang karya serta proses kreatif mereka.

Mengenai Klip Klub
Untuk merayakan kembali karya video musik, Kinosaurus, Kolektif, dan Whiteboardjournal.com mempersembahkan, “Klip Klub” acara pemutaran video klip sekaligus diskusi bersama sutradara video klip musik pilihan. Dalam acara yang akan digelar setiap hari Rabu pukul 19:30 dari tanggal 20 Januari sampai 24 Februari 2015 yang bertempat di Kinosaurus ini, secara berkala akan mengajak sutradara videoklip pilihan untuk memutar karya-karyanya untuk kemudian didiskusikan bersama. Tak hanya itu kepada sutaradara yang telah dikenal, acara ini juga memberikan kesempatan bagi sutradara muda untuk berdiskusi sekaligus belajar secara langsung dengan sutradara senior. Setiap sutradara pilihan akan memilih sutradara lain untuk ikut menayangkan karyanya di acara ini sebagai perkenalan sekaligus pemicu jalannya regenerasi dalam budaya video klip musik lokal.

Nama grup ini diambil dari nama salah satu jenis dinosaurus, yakni Troodon, yang konon adalah jenis dinosaurus terpintar yang hidup di zaman Cretaceous. Berdiri pada Januari 2013, Trodon terdiri atas Biondi Noya (gitar), Irene Pattinaya (keyboard), Nadya Romanenta (saksofon alto, flute), Aprila Sitompul (bas), Peter Lumingkewas (drum). Mereka banyak memainkan karya instrumental yang dipengaruhi oleh jazz rock progresif, dengan kombinasi instrumen tidak lazim serta struktur musik yang kompleks. Tesla Manaf adalah musisi jazz berusia muda yang berbakat besar. Lahir dan tumbuh dalam keluarga bukan-musisi, ia mencurahkan sebagian besar waktunya untuk mendalami praktik musik, khususnya gitar dan pernah menerima Yamaha Music Award untuk gitar klasik. I Know You Well Miss Clara menekuni jazz eksperimental dan progresif sejak 2010. Kelompok ini menyerap pengaruh dari Soft Machine, Weather Report, Return to Forever, Miles Davis, Mahavisnhu Orchestra, Ornette Coleman, hingga Jimi Hendrix. Grup dari Yogyakarta yang berdiri pada 2010 ini beranggotakan Reza Ryan (gitar), Adi Wijaya (piano), Alfiah Akbar (drum/perkusi).
Mereka akan menampilkan nomor-nomor dari album Chapter One (2013) dan nomor-nomor baru yang menjadi bagian dari album kedua mereka Chapter Two (2016). Royke B. Koapaha dan Iwan Hasan akan menjadi bintang tamu pentas ini.

Manticore Project beranggotakan Dameria Hutabarat (grand piano, organ pipa), Krisna Prameswara (organ hammond, minimoog, keyboard), Dave Lumenta (bas, gitar, synthesizer, vokal). Kelompok ini berkolaborasi dengan Yandi Andraputra (drum, perkusi elektronik), Farman Purnama (tenor, vokal utama). Mereka adalah para musisi yang kerap mengisi panggung-panggung jazz di Tanah Air. Dameria Hutabarat, pemimpin kelompok ini, menyelesaikan pendidikan di Yayasan Pendidikan Musik dan secara simultan mengikuti pendidikan organ elektronik di Yamaha Musik Indonesia. Sempat mengikuti kuliah pada Jurusan Komposisi di LPKJ (kini Institut Kesenian Jakarta) selama satu tahun, ia melanjutkan kuliah di London untuk mendalami organ pipa (1976-1980).
Pada Jazz Buzz kali ini mereka akan membawakan program Tribute to Emerson, Lake and Palmer.

Son of another Indonesian great, multi-instrumentalist-Jack Lesmana, Indra Lesmana is a child prodigy who learned how to master the keys at a young age, with his first performances done at the age of ten to an audience of hundreds and thousands, and his first album released when he was 12 years old. From child to adulthood, Indra Lesmana has dedicated his life to music.
With currently over 50 albums released, his musical endeavors are not restricted to jazz, Indra Lesmana has also released a multitude of critically acclaimed pop records, winning a BASF Award for his meaningful pop numbers. Currently busy promoting the first LLW record, LLW being his modern jazz trio with bassist-Barry Likumahuwa and drummer-Sandy Winarta, Indra Lesmana spared some time our of his busy schedule to talk to W_Music about some highlights from his three decade-long career, LLW, and leaves the viewers and aspiring musicians some words of wisdom.
