Cliff Notes #3

Ladies and gentlemen, chumps and chumpettes, W_Music are proud to present to you the third instalment of our lovely Cliff Notes sessions. Aimed at being a monthly event featuring as many genres as we can stick inside, we’re kicking off our new-look shows by inviting a special Dutch guest DJ: the now Bali-based Aardvarck (Rush Hour, Delsin, Mochilla, Eat Concrete). The event will naturally also feature our resident W_Music spinners Bergas and Fat Cat Ffonz who will be spinning a whole host of records that they happen to fancy. Any fans of rock, soul, reggae, punk, funk, hip hop, blues, psych, techno, house, afrobeat and jazz should take note.

Aardvarck

Having migrated from Amsterdam to Bali after a respectable 25 years as a DJ and producer in Europe, Aardvarck is your DJ’s favourite DJ. His long career has seen him collaborate with a plethora of well-respected labels such as Rush Hour Recordings, Delsin, Skudge, Eat Concrete and faux-Brazilian LA-Based collective Mochilla. His position as Amsterdam’s premier avant-garde dance music figure has made him the Dutch go-to-guy for many like-minded producers like The Gaslamp Killer, Theo Parrish, and Mark Pritchard. He is now ready to bring his vast wealth of musical knowledge to Jakarta in specific and Indonesia in general.
