Monita Tahalea is nowadays a prominent alumnus of the singing contest Indonesian Idol. She gained place as a contestant on the second season of Indonesian Idol in 2005 and finished as one of the top four finalists.

Besides promoting her own album and performing in jazz stages around the country, Monita maintains several projects with other musicians like Barry Likumahuwa, Indra Lesmana and Hook (with Ivan Saba, Jonas Wang, and Barry Likumahuwa). To be included in Monita Tahalea and The Nightingales’ repertoire for Serambi Jazz night are the songs from Monita’s first solo album Dream, Hope & Faith (2010) and some interpretations of standard jazz compositions.
