MANIFESTO No.4 : Keseharian “Mencandra Tanda-tanda Masa”
Since the first venue in 2008, This Exhibition has attracted many artists attention from various major cities in Indonesia to participate. Not less than 350 artists from throughout Indonesia will be exhibiting their best works on The Major Exhibition of Indonesia Fine Arts: The Manifesto #4 2014.
In this exhibition, art lovers can satisfy his desire to enjoy the best Indonesia young generation artists’ works. The works of Indonesia young generation artist would exhibited alongside of Indonesia maestros works, which is now become a part of the Indonesia National Gallery collection. The works of Indonesia maestro were displayed at earlier The Manifesto Exhibition; it was the works of Affandi, Sudjojono, Hendra Gunawan, Mochtar Apin, and others.
There are approximately 79 of 2 Dimensional and 3 Dimensional art form of painting, sculpture, art Prints, Art Craft, photography, Video Art, Objects, and Installation Art, that will be displayed at The 4th Manifesto 2014. These event carry a theme entitled ‘KESEHARIAN: Mencandra Tanda Masa’ (‘DAILY LIFE : Knowing The Sign of Time’) . This is the appeal of The Major Exhibition of Indonesia Fine Arts: The Manifesto #4 2014. Only hundreds of Indonesian young generation artists, who was selected and has the consistency, excellent working attitudes, also has an excellent projection of self-development, will implement these Major themes in self interpretation and flavor respectively.
Mencandra keseharian (Knowing dayli life) is a way to take back the essence of the experience and daily occurrence itself. This is a picture of man trying to get out from the routine and doubt, and the result is to find certainty that more evident, and becoming a man who was able to maintain consciousness. In detail explanation, Mencandra keseharian means knowing, parse, and draw a map of the relationship between what is going in ‘here’ and ‘there’, between the local and the global, as well as private property with public property. Furthermore Mencandra keseharian invited to read the sign of the times, which is circulates through a variety of new interactive and communication media.
The exhibition will be held in the building of A, B, C, and pool of Indonesia National Gallery exhibition space. JL. Medan Merdeka Timur No. 14, Central Jakarta – 10110. The Indonesia Major Fine Arts Exhibition: The 4th Manifesto 2014, will be officially opened by Minister of Education and Iulture – Republic of Indonesia: Prof. Dr. IR. KH. Mohammad Nuh, the DEA on Tuesday, May 20, 2014. Big event itself lasts for 18 consecutive days, until its closure on June 7, 2014.
The names are familiar in the world of Indonesia fine arts, would participate as the Curator in this Exhibition. They are Jim Supangkat, Rizki A. Zaelani, A. Rikrik Kusmara and Asikin Hasan. Also there are Zamrud Setya Negara and Bayu Genia Krisbhie would be the part of this Exhibition as the co-Curator.
