Cinesurya, Amalina Pictures, and Whiteboard Journal is very happy to announce a weekend screening of Mouly Surya's What They Don't Talk About When They Talk About Love. For a friendly and casual experience of this award winning film, this screening will be shown in our Movie Mystery Club-style setting with beanbag and floor seating.
Since it is the month of Ramadhan, we will screen the 104-minute film in the afternoon (4:00 PM) and we will have snacks ready for the audience to break their fast after the film. The cast and crew will be there to discuss the film so all are invited and urged to chat with them.
The screening is pay-as-you-wish with a suggested entry fee of 20,000 rupiah. The income will be used to support the event as well as future events of this kind.
We have watched What They Don't Talk About When They Talk About Love and highly recommend it. It is a endearing and refreshing story about growing up and confronting the little things in life one often take for granted.

Synopsis:
At a high school for the visually impaired in Jakarta, Indonesia, the students are like any other teenagers: they attend classes, pursue artistic endeavors, and fall in love. The most privileged of the bunch, Diana, patiently awaits signs of womanhood and humors her mother's attempts to mold her into the perfect girl. The beautiful Fitri has no shortage of male attention and enters into a passionate affair with, unbeknownst to her, a hearing-impaired punk rocker who is masquerading as a doctor. Meanwhile, Maya, blind since birth, aspires to be an actress and performer. Metal is a genre of music that for the most part is overshadowed, in every part of the world, by the top 40s and “mainstream music.” Metal has always had a huge following in Indonesia, a country that’s not usually associated with such sounds. That may have to change with the rise of undeniable talents from Jakarta such as and .
Their sounds are different but they do share some common grounds with their heavy drums and ominous aggressive guitar riffs. AVHATH’s sound is a blend of “black metal and crust/d‐beat hardcore,” while HAUL is more a “neo‐crust grinding death metal” band.
The two bands will be releasing a joint LP with 100 limited 7-inch vinyl copies pressed on “amethyst purple vinyl with black haze” on August 1st, 2013. Each copy comes with a digital download code for and digital copy. The limited vinyl will be packed in sleeves exclusively designed by Jakarta-based illustrator, Anggarez Adhitya. From child to adulthood, Indra Lesmana has dedicated his life to music.
With currently over 50 albums released, his musical endeavors are not restricted to jazz, Indra Lesmana has also released a multitude of critically acclaimed pop records, winning a BASF Award for his meaningful pop numbers. Currently busy promoting the first LLW record, LLW being his modern jazz trio with bassist-Barry Likumahuwa and drummer-Sandy Winarta, Indra Lesmana spared some time our of his busy schedule to talk to W_Music about some highlights from his three decade-long career, LLW, and leaves the viewers and aspiring musicians some words of wisdom.
