Bayu Risa debuted his efforts as a musician in 2010 when he released his very first album, "Rise and Start Again" via Sinjitos Records. Blending the sounds of pop rnb as well as channeling the showmanship of stars such as Michael Jackson, Prince, or more recently, Justin Timberlake, Bayu Risa packages his music under the self-described label of electro. After a four year hiatus from making a record, he is ready to introduce his latest endeavor, "Changes," a mini album that describes his attitudes and aspiration in music.

4 years? That long? I didn't count hahaha .I guess I've been busy on "Rise and Start Again" journey all this time.. Because my first album brought me to every moments, stages, joy, ups and downs and I didn't even count that 4 years. And of course also I was busy preparing this ep and my 3rd album.
Changes. I want to be a better person. I want to change everything that needs to be changed. you can feel the story in this mini album..
This mini album is an experimental one. So I put it separately with my 3rd album that still on the works.
Basicly I love every genre but r'n'b maybe one of my top list. Yes absolutely. I m so glad Indonesia has a various taste of music so that I have a room in their heart

The photography triennale Jakarta International Photo Summit (JIPS for short) returns this December featuring an exhibition by 89 Indonesian and International photographers. Titled City of Waves, this third JIPS focuses on the global maritime culture, and will be held at Galeri Nasional, Jakarta. The Jakarta International Photo Summit - JIPS #3: City of Waves
In the thirds edition of this triennale, JIPS 2014, both the National Gallery of Indonesia and Galeri Foto Jurnalistik Antara attempt to position the theme of 'maritime' and 'global maritime' as a way to look at diversity within our own society, as well as to look at the universal maritime tradition as rumah betang - a house of peace, a meeting place of diverse ideas and commitments for a better and wiser future of our seas.
City of Waves is a meeting place of works by around seventy six Indonesian photographers and thirteen foreign photographers. Here we will see the visual expression of the issue close to the artists and photographers.

Lola Amaria Production, incooperation with the Government of Australia, through the Australia and Indonesia Partnership for Maternal and Neonatal Health (AIPMNH), have produced a documentary film Ineria (Mama Cantik), shot in Ngada Province, East Nusa Tenggara, in the village of Tololela, Bajawa, on Flores Island. The film is a realistic and dramatic retelling of the challenges faced by communities in remote places, as they try to secure safe child birthright for both mother and baby.

Fitzcarraldo is a 1983 film directed by Werner Herzog. It tells the story of a quest undertaken by Fitzgerald, adventurer and opera lover, to build an opera house deep inside the Peruvian forest. To fulfill his dream he would need a great amount of money. So Fitzgerald attempted many things to raise the funds needed, asuch as acquiring a steamer to sail the Amazon, in order to transport rubber from one river to the next.
The Influencers is web video series revolving around the creative industry. Made by the creative people from Vakansi Visual, The Influencers features known individuals from different sectors of the creative industry sharing their experiences and perspectives of their field. The Influencers will hopefully inspire, or at the very least, pique the curiosity of the viewer with the personal insights it shares.
The fourth episode of the Influencers features Satria Ramadhan, a band manager who also runs SRM, a music management that handle some of Indonesian finest independent bands like, Bangkutaman, The Experience Brothers, Barefood, to Sore. On this episode, Satria talks about his duty as a band manager, how he as his bands biggest fan given the chance to manage them and tour with them. Take a look at what he has to say in the 3-minute video, perhaps you will understand a bit more regarding this music business.

Watching films for other countries always offers a glimpse of the cultures, opinions and storytelling that are different from ours, and Aneka Ria Sinema is a festival that can perhaps offer a bit of insight. Organized by KOLEKTIF, Documentary Dream Centre and Eiganabe (Independent Cinema Guild), Aneka Ria Sinema offers 5 days of films and discussion that is spread in Yogyakarta and Jakarta. This project is a continuation of a series of screenings and discussions that have taken place in Japan. Many of the films available are excellent, with a personal favorite of ours, Yasujiro Ozu, also having his film screened. Son of another Indonesian great, multi-instrumentalist-Jack Lesmana, Indra Lesmana is a child prodigy who learned how to master the keys at a young age, with his first performances done at the age of ten to an audience of hundreds and thousands, and his first album released when he was 12 years old. From child to adulthood, Indra Lesmana has dedicated his life to music.
With currently over 50 albums released, his musical endeavors are not restricted to jazz, Indra Lesmana has also released a multitude of critically acclaimed pop records, winning a BASF Award for his meaningful pop numbers. Currently busy promoting the first LLW record, LLW being his modern jazz trio with bassist-Barry Likumahuwa and drummer-Sandy Winarta, Indra Lesmana spared some time our of his busy schedule to talk to W_Music about some highlights from his three decade-long career, LLW, and leaves the viewers and aspiring musicians some words of wisdom.
