Yesterday (10/10/2013) marked the end of the 10th Brightspot Market. Taking place in Lotte Avenue in Kuningan, the “curated market of all things cool” took over a large chunk of the mall’s ground floor and was divided into 3 main shopping areas. Known distributors such as Aksara, The Watch Co, and Havaianas made an appearance, as well as a whole lot of individual brands including Cereal Nation, Pot Meets Pop, and Anokhi were there as well.
The food section was a highlight, with everyone from the Goods Diner, Taco Local, to Spiky Smooth providing treats for attendees to munch on while browsing. There were also a couple of new faces opening booths in this Brightspot Market, one was toymakers Good Guys Never Win, another was Eko Nugroho’s Daging Tumbuh. The Goods Dept and Future10 collaborated in making The Music Dept, a booth that (you guessed it!) featured music-related items including DJ controller, vinyl, cds to accessories. The Music Dept was the place one can find the Brightspot Market-released Rocket Rain Soundtrack, which featured a T-Shirt and Tote Bag combo especially made for Brightspot.
This Brightspot Market was more than just a shopping experience. Utilizing Lotte Avenue’s “Ice Palace” theatre, the mall also became a place for JIFFEST to hold their press conference, Anggun Priambodo’s Rocket Rain Soundtrack release, and Future Shorts & Bekibolang film screenings as well. For the kids, Brightspot invited Kutakatik to hold a one day creative workshop where children can channel their artistic energy.
You can find so many new things when you go to Brightspot Market – this was no exception, and we hope to find more in the next one!
