The story of Belle and Sebastian’s success after it being a Stow College’s Music Business department’s yearly project is the stuff of legends, and this Pitchfork Classic documentary has the band’s personal accounts of their formation and early career leading up to their much lauded “If You’re Feeling Sinister”. I love documentaries for the details and insights found through out the grand, larger stories, and this documentary has plenty. The personal stories behind the songs, the member’s attitude towards the music, to how they recorded the tunes can all be found in this solid, roughly 1-hour video. Enjoy!
