“Monas to Liberty” by SIOUX New York Makes its Way to Jakarta

New York City-based brand SIOUX New York will be releasing an exclusive t-shirt for Maris Store this coming September. Giving a nod to both the city SIOUX is based-in and the capital city of Indonesia, the “Monas to Liberty”-titled T-Shirt combines the New York and Jakarta skyline, connecting the two cities in its image. The T-shirt will be available exclusively in Maris Store (Jakarta) this September. SIOUX New York is a brand whose line started with accessories (Necklaces, Bracelets, snapnacks, five panels). Based in New York, the brand’s creator is of Indonesian background, and proudly promotes the archipelago through SIOUX’s products. Education Through the Arts with Monika Irayati

Due to a personal goal and a dissatisfaction with the education system, the once accountant-Monika Irayati helped establish Erudio School of Art, a high school that uses an alternative method to teaching its students. Sincerely believing that children naturally want to learn and that they should be encouraged to do so, Monika Irayati talked to us and gave us a tour of the school to show what students and every child are capable of.
