Pop culture icon Grace Jones lands in Bali this October 8th to play an intimate gig with closing set by DJ Harvey at Potato Head Beach Club.
American musician, model and actress Grace Jones is best known for her edgy androgynous look, which has served as inspiration for generations of art musicians. A fixture at the famed Studio 54, Jones began a music career in 1980 with her own spin on the New Wave and Post Disco genres. In addition to her original songs, Jones was known for reimagining popular songs, including Sting’s “Demolition Man”, Iggy Pop and David Bowie’s “Nightclubbing” and Roxy Music’s “Love is the Drug”. She also played memorable characters in motion pictures such as “Conan the Barbarian” and “A View to a Kill”.
