Europe on Screen is back again with best films of Europe on 29 April-8 May 2016 in Jakarta, Medan, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and Bali.

The Shelter (2014)

One winter in an emergency shelter for the homeless in Lausanne. Every night at the entrance of this little-known basement the same entry ritual takes place, leading to occasionally violent confrontations.

Those on duty have the difficult task of “sorting the poor”: women and children first, then the men. Only 50 “chosen ones” will be allowed in to receive a hot meal and a bed. The others know it will be a long night.
