Loneliness is indeed beautifully captured in Mac Ayres’s “Lonely” single to be added to his upcoming EP, served with just the right amount of jazz and soul. A smooth-vibe sound that is further spiced up with the New York instrumentalist and producer’s vocals, the soothing beats and relaxed pace will certainly not keep the ears lonely. Even so, Ayres’s take on loneliness still may stir some emotions despite its gentle strides.
This song may be the needed chill-jam of the summer as a reminder to take it easy, and to slow down your pace. In spite of the theme it brings up, Lonely may actually be a good company for the soul. Ayres’s take on how jazz and soul should meet for the perfect summer treat definitely doesn’t disappoint, as Lonely only intensifies the excitement and anticipation for his EP, Drive Slow.
