On this edition of Serambi Jazz we proudly present The Benny Lackner Trio who will be featuring two very special guests from Indonesia, Johanes Radianto on the guitar and Azfansandra Karim on the organ. This multi international group with Matthieu Chazarenc from Paris, Paul Kleber from Berlin and Benny from NYC/Berlin will be performing new arrangements of songs by David Bowie, Jimmy Hendrix, Bjork, Rodriguez, Lackner and Radianto. The music is a combination of hard grooving beats, slow, atmospheric sounds and modern jazz. The balance of the composed music and improvisation holds a deep respect for the jazz tradition and at the same time bringing out contemporary elements of modern music inspired by Radiohead as well as harmonic language inspired by composers such as Brahms and Chopin and Keith Jarrett.
