On Friday 29th April 2011, SPICE (Singapore International Culinary Exchange) – an integrated initiative program from Singapore Tourism Board to champion Singapore’s cuisine, culinary talent and products globally, kicked off the “Singapore Takeout” at Clifford Square with Singapore’s very own Chef Janice Wong of 2AM Dessert Bar.

Singapore Takeout introduces Singapore’s culinary scenes within an innovative mobile kitchen in a customized shipping container that will travel around the world within the next year. It will showcase not only the taste of Singapore but also showcases Singapore’s top Chef and Culinary Talents.

On the kick-off event, Chef Janice Wong prepared five dishes for the guests delight. A Lemongrass-infused Laksa with Tiger Prawn Dumplings, Foie Gras Xiao Long Bao with Foie Gras Ice Cream and Slow Cooked Egg in Herbal Chicken Broth. Not to mention her signature Desserts, Popcorn Nostalgia – in which she combines the subtle Yuzu Parfait with the sweet and salty popcorn with Salted Caramel and also Blood Orange Snow Ball with Lemon Curd, Mandarin segments and Blood Peach Foam.
