American Apparel and bankruptcy. Two words (well maybe three) that stand close to each other lately. It’s became a public rumour that American Apparel, one of the leading brand for basic clothes, is facing a really big wave, financially. According to Stylenoir.co.uk,

3 months ago American Apparel had almost $100 Million of debt and an extra $80 million of other liabilities (other financial obligations or potential losses) and as American Apparel are failing to report the second quarter financial reports, it is pretty damn certain that this has got a whole lot worse.

I visited the Sydney store couple days ago and surely, you can see something is going on judging from all the desperate faces of American Apparel’s staff (well I might exaggerate this a little bit). Anyways, If they do closed down, I am going to miss that impulse buying for basic everyday clothes every time I drop by to their store. Because in truth, on top of their overprice basic stuff, where else can you find decent white tees, classic beanies, and stripes jumpers that can match all of your other clothes in the closet.
