In the long history of music, there’s been only few bands with no name that able to generate as much anticipation and excitement as Thom Yorke‘s new group or supergroup i might add. It comprised of Beck/R.E.M. drummer Joey Waronker, Brazilian multi instrumentalist Mauro Refosco, Radiohead producer extraordinaire Nigel Godrich and…wait for it….Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea! yes that Flea!! The band performed two very very exclusive shows at the Orpheum Theatre in LA on Sunday and Monday night. The show were announced at midnight a week ago, went on sale at 10 AM that morning and sold out in 15 minutes. Most of the materials played is from Thom’s 2006 solo album The Eraser as well as few new ones that got their debut that night like “Open the Floodgates,” “The Hollow Earth,” “Judge,Jury & Executioner,” “Moon Upon a Stick or Lotus Flower,” and the recent release “Feeling Pulled Apart by Horses.” Seriously, this has gotta be one of those events that i wish i were there! I’m filled with jealousy at the time of writing this down, oh and please rest assured Radiohead is not splitting!
