I’m sure majority of you lot knew about the critically acclaimed  “Helvetica” documentary film, brilliantly done by Gary Hustwit. Well, here’s the second part of his “Design Trilogy” titled Objectified, set to release in DVD on October 13th. Objectified is about industrial design and the creativity at work behind everything from toothbrushes to tech gadgets. It’s about all the things we interact with, be them overlooked and insignificant, or things we buy purely for their good looks. It’s about designers who re-examine, re-evaluate and re-invent our manufactured environment on a daily basis. It’s about our relationship to mass-produced objects and, by extension, the people who design them. Jonathan Ive (Apple) and Naoto Fukusawa (Muji), both are my favorites, also features inside this film. With title’s font, packaging and poster design by, also my favorite, Build.
