I’ve been waiting for this far too long, finally….Ladies and Gentlemen, the one and only Michel Gondry is back! with his latest video for Mia Doi Todd’s “Open Your Heart”. According to Gondry, he has had this image of dozens dancers wearing brightly colored outfits for few years now but haven’t found the right artists to implement this idea until ten months ago when he met Mia, a folksy singer-songwriter with a lush voice and an exceptionally gifted multi instrumentalist. “I really fell in love with her music,” he says. “It’s incredibly fragile, personal, and very elevated.” They became friends, and before long Mia penned down “Open Your Heart”, that Gondry felt would fit perfectly with his idea of color-coordinated choreography. The video itself is a sweet, fun and very “Gondry”.
