Anybody who bothers reading any of my posts will get straight away that I’m a bit of a Madlib geek. If you’re rich enough to buy all of his releases so far this year (10 so far and counting), please do so. If you’re like me and one album is all you can muster, I’d recommend anyone to beg, steal or borrow the 7th installment of his genre busting Medicine Show series: High Jazz where his imaginary bands let loose through all types of insane jazz.

And as the title suggests, being ‘high’ (spiritually or physically) might help to understand his frame of mind too. I mean the dude even goes the whole way of inventing an imaginary secret concert from 2000 (a 15 minute medley from the wonderfully named ‘Spear for Moondog’). Brilliant stuff.
