I hope by now you’re already aware of this band from NYC. If not, we’re here to support and introduce this promising group. The band headed by an Indonesian named Ken Jenie (vocal, guitar), he has been spending most of his adulthood living in New York pursuing his musical career. Jirapah started as his recording experiment and his attempt to translate his musical ideas into audio-form. Although Ken masterminds the songs, the musicians involved (currently Mar Galo [bass], Danur [drums], and Naldi [guitar]) offer their own interpretations, bringing a new dynamic to the songs.
Take a look at their live videos, you might remember the snake kills child pt.2 song from our first roundtable session and there’s a couple of new great song titled Plight of the Pessimist and Suburban Takeover. Enjoy!
