The dude has never released a full-length album before this year – Stoney Jackson, 2010’s collaboration with Madlib- yet has received iconic status amongst the indie hip-hop scene for quite some time. You see, he’s part of the renowned DJ collective, The World Famous Beat Junkies and has ‘co-hosted’ Rawkus Records’ influential Soundbombing 2 compilation (working with luminaries such as Pharoahe Monch, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Eminem, Kid Capri, Marley Marl, Company Flow, Q-Tip and Diamond D) 11 years ago, back in 1999.

More importantly he’s been providing beat starved Internet music nerds like myself with outstanding free mixtapes and radio shows for a good few years now. J Rocc has recently released his latest free mixtape, an extremely J Dilla/Donuts influenced Supreme Take 2 for New York based skate-brand Supreme.
