Mastering the Monopoly game board is the closest thing any child growing up could be in mastering the ‘art of deal’ of properties, which was revolutionized by one of the world’s real estate tycoons, Donald Trump. Recognized as the most played (commercial) board game in the world, the publisher Hasbro is celebrating its 75 anniversary by introducing a modern approach to the classic board game called the ‘Monopoly: Revolution Edition’.
The conventional square layout of monopoly has been compensated with a sleek and round appearance enhanced by the modern graphic icons and houses that are now translucent red. Moreover, the stacks of cash that would make any one feel like a billionaire is replaced with a plastic visa mock debit card. Accompanied by clips of popular songs to make the game more enjoyable. (Music by the likes of Rihanna’s ‘Umbrella‘ and Daniel Powter’s ‘Bad day‘)
This rendition of the Monopoly is an obvious reflection of the current modern society, with the digitalized advancement in technology. It can also be said as a more imaginative approach of having wealth as opposed to having to literally enjoy the handful amount of cash in your hand.
