“The Dark Side of the Force is the pathway to many abilities some consider to be…unnatural,” these words spoken by the Emperor to Anakin has led me to believes that Cédric Delsaux might had taken the dark side path, otherwise how can one explains his “Dark Lens” series of photographs where he put Star Wars’ iconic characters or space ships within our own Earth environment from Paris, Lille and now Dubai. The series is really fascinating when you see how easily the two aspects blend together, without looking out of place at all, to create a new Star Wars environment. One thing for sure though, the Force is strong with this one.

Shown here are his last and final installment for Dark Lens trilogy, titled The Dubai Invasion. When speaking about Dubai, Delsaux says “I instantly knew that all the characters from the Star Wars galaxies would be at home here.” and from what can be seen through his Dark Lens, Dubai appears to be finally welcoming the guests it has been built for from the beginning.
