We all know that green is the color of envy and we all know that pink is identical with femininity, but did you know that it only applies to Western/American cultures? Did you know that yellow is the color of deceit in Japan? And that blue is associated with intelligence in Western/American cultures, but is a color of peace in African cultures?

I just learned that today myself, all thanks to the  Colors in Cultures infographics created by David McCandless, which is up on his blog InformationIsBeautiful.net. This is a rather useful infographics for anyone who would like to translate verbs or emotions visually.
