Ridwan / Quirk It! Ridwan’s beginnings in music began as a lowly employee for Imperial Dub Recordings while he was living in San Francisco. This eventually led to his involvement in the production of Triangle Orchestra member and Rong Music co-owner Ben Cook’s EP, ‘Nu 4 U’, which was released on DJ Garth’s infamous San Francisco based label, Grayhound Recordings. Upon his return to Jakarta, Ridwan got busy organizing Quirk It! Soundsystem parties. Members of the music project co-produced a limited edition mix CD ‘The Devil Made Me Do it’ (along with collaborators Whatnot), paying tribute to the music they have individually collected over the years in dusty one dollar bins across Jalan Surabaya. The tracks were edited and produced as an hour long mix. To date, Ridwan has been featured on DJ Jenö’s (of Wicked Soundsystem fame) radio show, ‘Noise from The Void’ twice. |
