Description
Kolektor, a combined architectural design showroom and lifestyle concept store, has opened in Seminyak, Bali.
Clean lines and white walls, reminiscent of a gallery space, provide the ideal backdrop for an eye-catching display of furniture and lighting features, homewares, artwork, jewelry and original collectables not available anywhere else in Bali.
Every item has been carefully designed or sourced with an eye for quality and craftsmanship by architect and designer, Darren Westell – d.s.westell architecture+design.
The name kolektor is a fusion of the Indonesian word ‘koleksi’ (collection) and the English word ‘collector,’ a theme which is carried through in the product range which combines the best of Bali with the best of the west. The common denominator is quality and there
is a focus on handmade products and sustainable production practices.
As part of the carefully edited range, kolektor has obtained exclusive distribution rights in Bali for some high-end design brands such as Derlot Editions, world-renowned Kreon lighting solutions and high profile Indonesian-based brand Magno rounds out the impressive list of offerings. More locally based, kolektor is proud to represent Nava ceramics and newcomer Kody&Ko.
The team at kolektor is constantly seeking out new products, ideas and design concepts and will shortly be playing host to a series of mini exhibitions to showcase the work of local and expat designers, artisans and craftsmen. The ‘designer in residence’ series will feature signature product lines developed exclusively for sale through kolektor, ranging from homewares, to artwork to wall graphics and wallpaper.
